Rebecca Janet Wade is a partner at Wade, Grimes, Friedman, Sutter and Leischner, PLLC, a full-service family law firm conveniently located in the heart of Alexandria, Northern Virginia. Ms. Wade specializes in helping clients achieve fair solutions for domestic violence, child custody, divorce, and visitation.
Ms. Wade brings a diverse range of experience from working in private and public law. After graduating the University of Richmond School of Law in 2007, Ms. Wade worked as a trial lawyer for the Public Defender’s Office for Fauquier and Rappahannock counties for more than five years. She has tried over two dozen jury trials and hundreds of bench trials. Rebecca has also won appeals in both the Supreme Court of Virginia and the Court of Appeals of Virginia. During her time in public service, she represented clients with simple cases such as traffic violations to serious felonies such as sex crimes, malicious wounding, and drug distribution.
As a bilingual lawyer who is fluent in Spanish, Rebecca Wade has helped over 100 native Spanish-speaking immigrants understand their rights in immigration law and the consequences of any criminal convictions. Ms. Wade also gives back to the community in which she serves by volunteering as a pro bono lawyer with the Legal Aid Justice Center, where she represents children in juvenile court petitioning for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.
