Dan Couvrette

A Partner and Associate Publisher of Wedding BellsMagazine during the 1980s, Dan Couvrette launched Divorce Magazine, a self-help publication dedicated solely to the subject of divorce, in 1996. This magazine has grown to include digital editions for all states and provinces, and currently has print editions in Southern California, Illinois, and New Jersey.

Divorce Magazine was co-founded with Diana Shepherd, the Editorial Director, after Dan separated from his first wife. Divorce Magazine filled a personal need for Dan, as well as for those who were and are going through divorce; it offered information and support that simply did not exist 20 years ago. His mission then and now is for divorce to be amicable and transformative.

DivorceMag.com was launched the same day as the printed Divorce Magazine, and was then the first website solely addressing the subject of divorce. Today, with more than 5,000 pages of content by divorce professionals, DivorceMag.com continues to be the authoritative voice on all matters divorce related.

In 2015, his company, Segue Esprit Inc., acquired DivorcedMoms.com, the Internet’s largest website devoted to helping mothers going through divorce. As well as having articles by experts, this website has over 20 active blogs by divorced mothers.Together DivorceMag.com and DivorceMoms.com have annual page views of more than 6,000,000.

Dan co-owns Segue Esprit with his wife, Martha Chan, whom he has been married to for 20 years. Together with his two sons from his first marriage, they have a successful blended family.
